I am not going to describe the Aurora UI as you can read one of the many excellent online reviews to learn more. 1.) and the User Manual - very clear and easy to comprehend. This whetted my appetite, so I downloaded the latest Aurora trial (v. Recently, my long-time friend Mistermpnday PMed saying that it was worth a second look and suggested that I should read a recent comparison review of 2018 hdr apps. That doesn't mean they're not fun, but for my uses they do not offer faster and easier ways to do realistic and seamless (halo free!) high quality results than LR/Ps do.My last post about Aurora HDR was at the end of September 2017. That's where they ALL fail: on the 'seamless' aspect. what I DO want, that NONE of them can achieve, is lack of haloes where extremes of exposures have been blended. HDR programs will give the gaudy effect much more easily, true, if you want that. The HDR programs can blend bracketed exposures but so can photoshop and Lightroom - (realistically!)- so the question is what do HDR specific programs offer over and above what LR or Ps can do: Ease of use? - That depends on familiarity with the program.
